Chocolate Drop Cookies
There's nothing about these that's particularly Christmassy, but they're Christmas cookies. Don't ask why.

Source: Grandma Bauer
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Notes
* The original frosting recipe calls for "top milk." If you happen to have access to milk fresh from the cow, I guess go for that instead.
Instructions
- Cookies: Cream the butter and shortening for the cookies. Add sugar and mix well. Beat in eggs. Melt chocolate in double boiler. Stir a small amount of the butter mixture into the chocolate, then add the chocolate into the butter mixture. Sift in dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Mix well. Stir in vanilla. Bake at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
- Frosting: Start with butter in the bowl. Add powdered sugar and milk until smooth and you have enough frosting.
